He has been training colts for over 24 years and continues to figure out these amazing animals and how they work in relationship to us in order to bring them to their full potential. Mike graduated from Montana State University's Farrier Program and has been a farrier for over 16 years. He currently does not practice full time, but still continues to do our personal horses and a few outside horses with his apprentice. He has a passion for Big Loop Ranch Roping. He has participated in different competitions around Oregon. He is continually perfecting himself and his horses in that event. His wife Shawn helps manage the barn, paperwork, advertising and odd jobs while also being an at home mom. She is a wonderful presence around the place and enjoys riding and visiting with the great people who make this place home.
